Universal Works
The Universal Works founder David Keyte worked his way up through brands like Paul Smith and Maharishi before going it alone in 2008. “Less interested in fashion and more in the function, fit and cut of garments” David placed these values at the heart of the brand, pioneering a distinctly British look, loosely based on traditional workwear, the focus is on simplicity and craftsmanship rather than seasonal trends.
SS24 is part reworking of classics for the sunny season (Baker shirt, Military chino, Aston pant in navy and khaki) and part refashioning of Universal Works workwear handwriting with a subtle move into softly structured tailoring in cotton twill and cotton linen options. For Summer, the short sleeve shirt is king with the embroidered Minari shirt, the seersucker Road shirts and the perennial Vacation polos in holiday friendly pastels.
